Maulana Bhashani’s 42th death anniversary observed
DHAKA, Nov 17, 2018 (BSS) – The 42th death anniversary of veteran firebrand politician Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani was observed today with due respect.
Marking his death anniversary, a discussion meeting and doa mahfil was held at Bhashani Bhaban in capital’s Nayapaltan area.
Chaired by Bhashani Smrity Sangsad President Ziaul Huq Milu, former student leader and Bhashani’s close political associate Nazmul Huq Nannu, Bhashani Smrity Sangsad general secretary Advocate Kazi Munirul Huda, Vice President Monsur Ali Chunnu and Nancy Rahman took part in the discussion meeting.
Recalling the great contribution of Bhashani in the pre-and post-independent Bangladesh including our liberation struggle, Nazmul Haq said, Bhashani had always led from the front in all ant-autocracy movements and voiced the voiceless teeming millions.
Earlier, in the morning, a delegation of Bhashani Smrity Sangsad led by its Vice President and Grand Son of Maulana Bhashani Mahmudul Huq Shanu placed flower bouquet at the mazar of Maulana Bhashani at Santosh.
