DHAKA, Nov 16, 2018 (BSS) – Local pharmaceutical giant, BEXIMCO in
cooperation with German development agency GIZ would accommodate more
differently-abled persons to engage them in the mainstream employment on an
equal basis.
GIZ, partnering with BEXIMCO, provides comprehensive technical support and
training on how to design workplaces, develop required skills and provide
motivational support for the differently-abled workers, said a BEXIMCO press
release today.
So far, BEXIMCO has employed more than 500 physically challenged people in
their factories who are performing with dignity at the same standard as all
other employees.
A German delegation, led by the Ambassador of the country in Bangladesh,
visited the industrial unit of BEXIMCO to witness the BEXIMCO-GIZ
collaboration.
The delegation expressed their pleasure to see integrating of the
differently-abled people into Beximco’s workforce.
