PSC, Ebtedayee exams begin on Nov 18

DHAKA, Nov 15, 2018 (BSS)- Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee
Examinations-2018 will begin on November 18 (Sunday) across the country with
the participation of 30,95,123 examinees.

As many as 27,77,270 examinees are appearing for PSC examinations while
3,17,853 students are participating in Ebtedayee examinations this year,
Primary and Mass Education Minister Md Mostafizur Rahman told a press
conference at his ministry.

Senior officials of the Primary and Mass Education, among others, were
present at the press conference.

Mostafizur said among the PSC examinees, 12,78,742 are male and 14,98,528
female while 3,17,853 Ebtedayee examinees including 1,66,814 male candidates
will appear in the examination.

He said the PSC and Ebtedayee examinations will be held in 7,410 centers
this year across the country. The examinations will continue till November
26.

A total of 3,294 examinees with differently able including 231 ebtedayee
students would appear in the examinations.

The minister said the authorities concerned have taken adequate security
measures with taking maximum privacy to check question paper leakage. Special
initiatives also have been taken to send question papers at 204 examination
centres for smooth distribution in remote areas.
