Probe report finalized against 11 Khulna war crimes accused

DHAKA, Dec 26, 2017 (BSS) – Probe agency of the International Crimes
Tribunal (ICT) today finalized its report on investigation in the crimes
against humanity case against 11 accused from Dumuria, Khulna.

The accused are Sheikh Abdur Rahim, 68, Shamsur Rahman, 82, Omar Ali
Fakir, 70, Jahan Ali Biswas, 67, Md Akkas Sarder, 68, Najer Ali Fakir, 65, Md
Shajahan Sarder, 75, Abdul Karim Sheikh, 65, Abu Bakkar Sarder, 67, Md
Rawshan Gazi, 72, and Md Sohrab Hossain Sarder, 62.

“We have brought six charges of crimes against humanity including
genocide, murder and arson against them in the 730-page report. We will hand
the report over to the prosecution,” said probe agency coordinator Md Abdul
Hannan Khan.

The investigation agency boss said out of the 11 accused, all but Omar
and Akkas are behind bars now.
