BOA to honour Islamic Games medal winners
DHAKA, Dec.26,2017 (BSS) – Bangladesh Olympic Association on Tuesday announced that will be honouring the medal winners of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan this year in May.
BOA said in a press release the winners will be given cash award for their achievements
Bangladesh took part in the seven disciplines and won one gold and one silver in shooting and bronze came from wrestling. Abdullah Hel Baki and Syed Atika Hasan pair bagged gold medal in 10m air rifles while shooter Rabbi Hasan Munna won silver medal in individual 10m air rifle. Wrestler Shirin Sultana won bronze medal in 69kg weight category.
BOA will award the gold winning shooters to Taka 4 lakhs, silver winner Taka 2 lakh and bronze winner Tk 1 lakh and the cash awarded will officially be disbursed among the winners on December 30 at Kurmitola Golf Club with the presence of BOA President and Army Chief Gen Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq.
