DHAKA, Nov 13, 2018 (BSS) – Finance Minister AMA Muhith today said the participation of all parties in the next general election will be good for the country’s economy and development.
“The existing political situation is very good as everyone is going to participate in the polls. It is a political success. The impact of the political success is very good for the economy and development,” he told journalist at a dividend handover function at the Finance Ministry in the city.
Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Dr M Khairul Hossain handed over about Taka 57.53 crore as the government part of BO account maintenance fees in the function.
Muhith said the foundation of a strong capital market was laid in the last 10 years as the government took several initiatives in this regard. “Several reforms have been carried out in the stock market after 2011. Now, its strong foundation has been laid,” he added.
He said the government has achieved remarkable success in all socio-economic indicators in the last 10 years for the prudent policy and dynamic leadership. So, the 10-year period is outstanding for the country’s development, he added.
