RAKUB officers asked to demonstrate e-filing skills

RAJSHAHI, Nov 12, 2018 (BSS)- Senior bankers asked their subordinates to
show their professional skills on-e-filing during discharging duties as it is
essential for attaining success in the present banking sector for overall
socio-economic development of the region.

They urged them to make their banking activities client-friendly so that
they get total benefits of the banking service.

They were addressing the closing and certificate-giving session of a three-
day long training workshop on ‘e-filing programme implementation’ in Rajshahi
on Sunday.

Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) organized the training at its
Computer Laboratory in association with ICT Cell of Financial Institution
Division in the Ministry of Finance.

RAKUB Managing Director Kazi Alamgir addressed the session as the chief
guest with Principal of its training institute Towhida Khatun in the chair.

General Managers Khandaker Golam Mostofa and Rakibur Rahman Khandaker,
Deputy General Manager Ashoke Kumar Acharya and Programmer Suman Anwar Mahmud
also spoke.

The speakers observed that the bankers should have adequate knowledge on
computer and ICT applications for enhancing their professional efficiency in
modern banking sector together with making the e-filing system effective and
meaningful.

They mentioned that no bankers can attain professional success without
knowledge on fundamental computer literacy and its proper applications.

Large-scale application of ICT is also important towards making the
banking transactions and other services transparent, time-fitting and client-
friendly in the present era of globalisation, they added.
