Mushfiqur hits sixth Test ton

DHAKA, Nov 11, 2018 (BSS)- Dependable batsman Mushfiqur Rahim completed his sixth Test hundred against visiting Zimbabwe during the first day of the second and final Test at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in the city today.
The right handed batsman Mushfiqur’s century came at right moment when Bangladesh were in deep trouble in the first session losing their three top order batsmen for 26.
The diminutive wicket keeper batsman Mushfiqur scored 111 runs off 231-balls hitting nine boundaries to keep his wicket unhurt as Bangladesh finished the first day in a high scoring 303 for 5.
On way to the century, Mushfiqur also involved a massive 266-run fourth wicket stand with Momunul Haque after Bangladesh got off to a shaky start.
Mushfiqur’s highest test knock of 200 runs came against Sri Lanka in Galle, backed in 2013.
Following Mushfiqur sixth Test hundred, it was Mominul, who turned to hit ton as the left hander picked up his seventh Test century.
