RCC plans E-services, E-filing system: Liton

RAJSHAHI, Nov 8, 2018 (BSS) – Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has taken
necessary initiatives of launching E-services and E-filing system coupled
with expediting its online civic services after the best uses of Information
and Communication Technologies (ICT).

The city corporation took the measures with the main thrust of bringing
dynamism in its service-delivery process through replacing the existing
manual activities into digital system in phases.

City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton revealed this while addressing the
certificate-giving ceremony of a daylong workshop titled “How May I Help You”
at Chess Razzaque restaurant in the city yesterday as chief guest.

GIZ organized the workshop in order to building capacity of the city
corporation officials and staffs concerned for making the civic services
peoples-friendly.

Liton told the meeting that all the city corporation services will be
brought under automation and digitalization in order to infusing dynamism in
RCC’s online civic services.

RCC Panel Mayors Shariful Islam, Rajab Ali and Tahera Begum, Word
Councilor Nizam Ul Azim, Anwarul, Chief Executive Officer Shah Momin,
Secretary Rejaul Karim, Chief Revenue Officer Shahana Akhter Jahan, Executive
Engineer Nur Islam and Chief Health Officer Dr Anjuman Ara Begum also spoke.

Liton said the city corporation took the decision for expansion of
RCC’s website, tax collection through banks in billing system and
establishment of Wi-Fi zone for creating more scopes of ICT uses.

He also put emphasis on enhancing international connectivity,
transforming all the RCC’s activities into database and displaying
information board at various points to make the city information public.

Mayor Liton said various need-oriented steps were adopted to make the
city activities expedited so that the public services are expanded
significantly.

“We have to enhance electronic connectivity with various organizations
both home and abroad for intensifying the international relation,” he
stressed.
