RAJSHAHI, Dec 22, 2017 (BSS)- Organizers of ‘Rainbow International Film Festival’ have decided to honour two minor boys who recently saved a train from a possible crash by entrusting them with the task of handing over its best film award to the winners, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam said here today.

“Liton and Shihab who saved a train by waving red muffler will hand over the best film awards (Children) in ‘Rainbow International Film Festival’” scheduled to be started in Dhaka from January 13 next, he said while visiting the boys village home in Bagha upazila here.

He said the organizers decided to make known their bravery to the
representatives of 64 countries who would take part in the festival.

Alam congratulated the boys, who are below 10, and gave them some warm clothes.

Liton and Shihab had stopped a train by waving red muffler averting an accident of a railway oil tanker worth around Taka one crore on Monday near their home.

Hearing the news on the same day, the state minister instantly announced that he will bear all of their educational costs.

“Your kids protected the state asset. So, we want to introduce them widely as recognition of their success,” Alam told their parents.
