Passing out parade of constables held at Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Nov 4, 2018 (BSS) – The passing out parade of the
162nd batch of trainee recruit constables/2018 was held at the parade ground
of Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA) at Sarda in Rajshahi today.

BPA Principal Dr Nazibur Rahman attended the ceremony as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest called upon the newly recruited
constables to devote themselves to eliminate crimes including militancy and
terrorism for ensuring peace and security in the society.

The police constables should play their neutral, mass-participatory and
professional role after the best uses of the knowledge acquired from the
training. He also urged them to ensure strong leadership with competence and
courage in the field level.

Earlier, the chief guest reviewed the smartly turned out parade and took
salute at the impressive march past. He also distributed awards among five
entry constables for their outstanding performance in the training.

The award-wining constables are: Sujan Chandra (all-rounder), Shahriar
Hassan (Musketry), Uzzal Mian (PT), Ripon Hossain (Parade) and Raju Ahmed
(Law).

Additional DIG (Curriculum) Masud Karim, Additional DIG (Training) Lokman
Hakim and Superintendent of Police Abdus Sobhan were present on the occasion.
A total of 546 constables took part in the passing out parade on completion
of their six-month foundation training at the academy successfully.

High-ranking police, civil officials and members of the civil society
members witnessed the spectacular parade besides a large number of guardians
and others concerned.
