IU admission tests begin tomorrow

ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Nov 3, 2018 (BSS) – The admission tests for the
first year honours courses of Islamic University in Kushtia under the
academic session 2018-2019 will begin tomorrow and continue till Monday.

A total of 21 aspirants will vie for each seat in this year’s admission
test, university registrar office sources said.

The admission tests will be held for 33 departments under four units.
The tests of ‘A’ & ‘B’ units will be held tomorrow while the tests of ‘C’ and
‘D’ units will be held on Monday.

The admission tests will be held under four shifts as follows – first
shift at 9.30am to 10.30am, second shift at 11.30am to 12.30pm, third shift
at 2.00pm to 3.00pm and fourth shift at 4.00pm to 5.00pm respectively.

According to sources, around 48 thousand aspirants applied against 2,275
seats of the university while the highest number of applications, 21,208 has
been received for B unit. 18,368 applications has been received for D unit,
7,147 for C Unit and 1,996 for A unit.

The admission seekers must bring their downloaded admit card, main copy
of SSC and HSC registration cards while any kind of electronic devices is
strictly prohibited into the examination hall.

IU Vice chancellor Professor Dr Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari said, “We have
completed all necessary preparations for holding the admission tests
peacefully.”
