President congratulates U-15 football team for clinching SAFF championship
DHAKA, Nov 3, 2018 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today congratulated Bangladesh Under-15 national football team for clinching the SAFF U-15 Championship by defeating Pakistan in the final in Kathmandu.
In a congratulatory message, he greeted the players, coach and officials of the team as well as the officials of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) for becoming unbeaten champions in the tournament.
“This is an important victory for Bangladesh football,” President Hamid said and expressed hope that the winning spree of the Bangladesh football team would continue in future.
The Bangladesh Under-15 football team clinched title beating Pakistan by 3-2 goals in penalty shootout in the final at All Nepal Football Association Complex in Kathmandu of Nepal today.
