RAB-EXTREMIST-ARREST
Seven extremists held in Lalmonirhat
LALMONIRHAT, Oct 31, 2018 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) here today
said they overnight arrested seven suspected members of banned Ansarullah
Bangla Team (ABT) and Jammatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in two separate
drives in Patgram and Kaliganj of the district.
RAB-13 commanding officer Mojammel Haque said a team of their force first
raided a house responding to a secret tip off at Madati village in Kaliganj
upazila last night and arrested four ABT men aged between 19 and 27.
“We recovered two foreign-made pistols, four bullet, some explosives and a
number of jihadi books and leaflets from their possession,” Haque said,
According to the official the second raid was carried out at Rosulganj
Shahebdanga village in Patgram upazila from where the two JMB operatives were
arrested along with their “jihadi books”
