DMP files 6,307 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Oct 31, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Tuesday
filed 6,307 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized over Taka 68 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation,
said an official release.
Of the total cases, 627 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 218
for using hydraulic horn, 16 for using hotter and beckon light and 21 others
for using tinted glass.
Police filed 2,187 cases against motorcycles and seized 88 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 22 vehicles and wrecked 936 others.
