PM to hold dialogue with Oikyafront for democracy’s sake: Anisul

NARAYANGANJ, Oct 30, 2018 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina responded positively to hold dialogue with Jatiya Oikyafront for the sake of country’s democracy.

“The Prime Minister took the positive decision as Jatiya Oikyafront leader Dr Kamal Hossain sent a letter to her for dialogue,” he said.

The law minister said these while talking to newsmen after inaugurating a newly-constructed building of Narayanganj district registrar in city’s Chandmari area.

Replying to a question on whether BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia can contest in the upcoming national parliamentary election, Anisul Huq said the final decision in this regard will be taken by the court.

Earlier, the minister inaugurated the district registrar office building, constructed at a cost of Taka 5.58 crore.

Presided over by Inspector General of Directorate of Registration Khan Md. Abdul Mannan, the inauguration ceremony was also addressed by lawmakers AKM Selim Osman, Nazrul Islam Babu and Advocate Hosne Ara Babli and deputy commissioner Rabbi Miah, among others.
