Army chief awarded ‘5th Colonel of the Regiment’
DHAKA, Oct 30, 2018 (BSS) – Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed today awarded the ‘5th Colonel of the Regiment’ of the Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Center at Rajshahi Cantonment.
The army chief arrived at the venue and a dextrous team of East Bengal Regiment provided him a guard of honor, said an ISPR press release.
Later, the senior captain of the Infantry Regimental Center and senior Master Warrant Officer gave the rank badge of ‘Colonel of the Regiment’.
The army chief placed wreaths at the ‘Bir Gaurav’ monument.
General Aziz urged all the members of the regiment to be prepared to cope with the difficult challenges of twenty-first century by acquiring skill through modern and timely training.
Senior military officials of the army and local bodies were present at the ceremony.
