RAJSHAHI, Oct 30, 2018 (BSS) – Speakers at a function here called upon the
students to become worthy citizens being enriched with modern education to
keep pace with the competitive world and face the existing challenges of the
present era.
They also highlighted the need based initiatives of the present government
under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to transform the
young generation and the students into worthy citizens.
They were addressing the function arranged for giving reception to
brilliant students here and a cultural ceremony at Shaheed Colonel Kazi
Emdadul Haque Public School at BGB Sector Headquarters in the city on Monday.
Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) AHM Khairuzzaman Liton addressed
the ceremony as the chief guest with Deputy Director of BGB Sector
Headquarters Colonel Mushfiqur Rahman Masum in the chair.
BGB Battalion Commander Lt Col Tajul Islam, Secretary of Rajshahi Education
Board Prof Tarun Kumar, Headmaster of the school Rehena Akter and RCC Ward
Councilor Towhidur Rahman also spoke.
In his remarks, Liton said improved education system has been launched
during the term of present government.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set up computer laboratory and multimedia
classrooms in schools, he said, adding that in future, our students will lead
the nation after being enriched with modern education.
Liton said the present government has been working relentlessly for
qualitative improvement of education to take the nation forward.
He urged the teachers to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and
honesty to supplement the government endeavor of transforming the young
generation into worthy citizens.
