DHAKA, Oct 28, 2018 (BSS) – Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said Dr Kamal Hossain has to face trial as he has joined hands with the party, which was involved in killing and terrorist activities.
“It is a shame….. Dr Kamal has accepted leadership of Tarique Rahman, who was awarded life imprisonment in the August 21, 2004 grenade attack cases,” he told an election campaign on the Harun Mollah Eidgaon ground at Pallbi thana in the city.
Referring to a comment of Dr Kamal at a public rally of Jatiya Oikyafront in Chattogram, Quader said, “You (Dr Kamal) have mentioned that if voted to power the incumbent government has to face trial.”
“Dr Kamal always claims that he was a dedicated worker of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, but now he is doing politics with those who awarded killers of Bangabandhu,” he added.
The people of the country would not forgive Dr Kamal because of his involvement with BNP as the party is out to pursue politics joining hands with anti-liberation forces, he added.
The seven point demands of Jayiya Oikyafront are not acceptable as the demands are designed to foil the national election, Quader added.
