Next polls to protect spirit of Liberation War: Nasim
DHAKA, Dec 19, 2017 (BSS) – Awami League Presidium Member Mohammad Nasim today said the next general election is not only for forming a government but to protect spirit of War of Liberation.
“The next general polls will be held in December, 2019 to protect the spirit of War of Liberation,” he told a discussion at the auditorium of National Museum here.
Bangladesh Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (SWACHIP) organized the discussion marking the Victory Day with its President Dr Iqbal Arslan in the chair.
Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science and Technology Professor Dr AFM Ruhal Haque, Prime Minister’s former Health Advisor Professor Dr Syed Modasser Ali, AL Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rokeya Sultana and former President of Bangladesh Medical Association Professor Dr Mahmud Hasan addressed the discussion as special guests. SWACHIP Secretary General Professor Dr Abdul Aziz conducted it.
Nasim, also the health and family welfare minister, said the anti-liberation forces are trying to drive the country into the dark-age again and urged all to remain alert against the evil forces.
The present government, he said, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is carrying out development works in every sector of the country.
“If you want to see the continuation of the development trend then you have to choose Awami League again,” Nasim said.
