SANGSAD BHABAN, Oct 24, 2018 (BSS) – The approval of four more new private banks is now under process.
Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhith said this while responding to query made by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) lawmaker Nazmul Haq Prodhan of Panchagarh-1 during the question-answer session in the House here today.
The country has a total government approved private banks 49 till September 30 in 2018, said the minister.
Of these banks, 40 are local private banks and the rest 9 are foreign commercial banks, he added.
