Freshers reception at Fazilatunnesa Mujib hall in JU
SAVAR, Dec 19, 2017 (BSS) – The newly inaugurated Bangamata Sheikh
Fazilatunnesa Mujib (BSFM) hall of Jahangirnagar University (JU) organised a
freshers’ reception for its residential students yesterday.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Shikder addressed the function as
the chief guest while Provost of the dormitory Professor Tapan Kumar Saha
presided over the event.
Addressing the function, Biren Shikder said, “Bangamata Sheikh
Fazilatunnesa Mujib was appropriate life partner of Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and had great contribution to make him as a
supreme leader.” He also urged the students to make resistance against the
militants and raise awareness among the mass people about the adverse impact
of it.
JU Vice Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam, Pro VC (academic) Abul
Hossain, Pro VC of Islamic University Professor Sahiur Rahman and JU
Treasurer Professor Sheikh Md Manjurul Huq addressed the function as special
guests.
