Deutsche Bank profits slump 65 percent in third quarter

FRANKFURT AM MAIN, Oct 24, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Profits at Germany’s biggest
lender Deutsche Bank tumbled 65 percent year-on-year between July and
September, to 229 million euros ($262.7 million), the group said in a
statement Wednesday.

While the bank fell short of analysts’ forecasts of a 240-million-euro
bottom line, chief executive Christian Sewing said the group was “on track to
be profitable in 2018, for the first time since 2014”.
