DHAKA, Oct 23, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League presidium member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim today said Barrister Mainul Hosein was arrested in the case for insulting a woman, and it has nothing to do with politics.
“Cases were filed against Mainul and he was arrested as per law. We have nothing to do here. But the way he behaved, insulted womenfolk, no civilized person can do that. We all should condemn that,” he said.
Nasim said these while talking to newsmen after attending a view-exchange meeting between Buddhist community leaders and leaders of 14-party alliance at his Dhanmandi residence ahead of Prabarana Punima.
“We don’t have anything more to say about election-time government after the recent statement of Prime Minister. The election would be held as per constitution. None can obstruct the polls,” he added.
Samyabadi Dal general secretary Dilip Barua, Jasad general secretary Shirin Akhter and Jatiya Party-JP secretary general Sheikh Shahidul Islam, were present on the occasion, among others.
