India reach final of SAFF U-15 Championship
DHAKA, Dec 19, 2017 (BSS)- Sunita Munda and Priyanka Devi slammed a
brilliant hat-trick each as India reached the final of SAFF U-15 Women’s
Championship, dumping Nepal by 10-0 goals in their second group match on
Tuesday at Birshestha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium here.
India will now play the title-deciding final match scheduled to be held on
Sunday (December 24) at the same venue.
In the day’s match, Sunita scored hat-trick with three goals in the 34th,
62nd and 86th minutes while Priyanka scored three goals with hat-trick in the
43rd, 53rd and 76th minutes.
Besides, Lynda Kom scored a brace in the 4th and 31st while Santhiya and
Anayi Bayi netted one goal each for India in the 40th and 69th minute
respectively.
India will play their last group match against host Bangladesh on Thursday
(December 21) at the same venue.
Earlier, Nepal U-15 suffered a 6-0 defeat at the hands of host Bangladesh
while India blanked Bhutan by 3-0 goals, both in their respective opening
matches.
