SANGSAD BHABAN, Oct 22, 2018 (BSS) – Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bikram, today said 220 more multipurpose cyclone shelter centers are under construction at coastal and cyclone prone areas.
“We have constructed 100 multipurpose cyclone shelter centers at coastal and cyclone prone areas in the first phase,” he said this, while replying to a starred question from Jatiya Party member Noor-E-Hasna Lily Chowdhury in the Jatiya Sangsad.
The minister informed the House that 220 more multipurpose cyclone shelter centers are under construction in the second phase.
“The present government after taking charge, the Disaster Management Department constructed 100 multipurpose cyclone shelter centers in the first phase,” he said.
Maya said 220 more multipurpose cyclone shelter centers have been under construction in the second phase.
