DHAKA, Oct 21, 2018 (BSS)- The Election Commission (EC) today approved the electoral code of conduct amending some of its sections ahead of the next general election.
“The meeting has made two amendments. These are: no living creatures can be used as election symbols and cloth-made posters cannot be used for election campaign as the word ‘cloth’ has been dropped from the definition of posters,” EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed told journalists after the 37th meeting held at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city’s Agargaon area.
Speaking about election schedule, he said the EC will announce the election schedule for the next general election after holding a meeting with President Md Abdul Hamid.
