DHAKA, Oct 21, 2018 (BSS)- All-rounder Fazle Mahmud Rabbi made a duck in his debut match in the first ODI of the three-match series Zimbabwe on Sunday.

He became the 129th Bangladeshi player to represent his country in the 50-over format.

Rabbi returned to the pavilion after giving a back catch to wicket keeper Brendan Taylor off Tendai Chatara’s delivery in the last ball of the sixth overs.

Rabbi, who was included in the squad in replace of injured Shakib Al Hasan, has played domestic cricket for prolong fifteen years, finally got a big breakthrough as he was named in the squad for the ODI series against Zimbabwe.

The 30-year-old all-rounder’s inclusion in the 15-man squad was no surprise following his impressive performance with bat and ball as he scored 708 runs at an average of 47.2 in the last Dhaka Premier League.

His left-arm spin has also proved effective in domestic cricket.
