DHAKA, Oct 20, 2018 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said today that noted journalist and international affairs analyst Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury was a source of inspiration to the young journalists.
“Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury wrote analytical columns on international affairs especially South Asian affairs. His works will inspire to the young journalists,” she told a programme where the cover of a book titled “Selected Columns” was unveiled.
Journalist Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury Memorial Trust organised the programme at CIRDAP auditorium.
Speaking at the programme, Shirin Sharmin said Zaglul Ahmed was a very friendly and modest person with great human qualities.
Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam, also president of Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury Memorial Trust, presided over the function while secretary general of the trust Shyamal Dutta conducted the programme.
Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury, former managing director of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, died in a tragic road accident on November 29, 2014 in Dhaka.
