Communal forces to be defeated in next election: Quader
DHAKA, Oct 16, 2018 (BSS) – Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul
Quader today said communal forces will be defeated in the next general
election.
“The country is going ahead as a congenial atmosphere is prevailing.
We’ll foil the conspiracy that can spoil existing peaceful environment.
Communal and evil forces must be defeated,” he told reporters after visiting
Puja Mandaps at Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University here.
Quader assured the Durga Puja organisers that Awami League always stands
by them in celebrating their religious festivals.
About the unity formed recently by Jatiya Oikyafront involving BNP and
several other political parties, he said the unity will fall short soon as
“it is a fragile unity”.
Quader, also the General Secretary of Awami League, said many leaders of
Juktafront have already left out from the Jatiya Oikyafront’s unity.
DU Jagannath Hall provost Asim Kumar Sarker, Bangladesh Chhatra League
(BCL) general secretary Golam Rabbani, BCL DU unit president Sonjit Chandro
Das and BCL DU unit general secretary Saddam Hussain were, among others,
present.
