DHAKA, Oct 16, 2018 (BSS) – National Board of Revenue (NBR) chairman Md

country’s all city corporations soon to bring the flat owners of the areas
under tax net.

The NBR will make mandatory of the submission of tax return for the
candidates of parliamentary and local government elections after identifying
their electric Taxpayer Identification Numbers (e-TINs), the NBR chief said
while a discussion in the capital.

The discussion on ‘tax survey, tax net extension and encouraging tax
payers’ was arranged at Mayor Mohammad Hanif Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban.

Noting that the number of tax registration will be double within next

rate double during the period.

“But, tax return certificate will be made mandatory for the candidates in
the future because it is quite impossible to assess their wealth accurately
without submission of tax return,” he said.
