Ranpur Div score 204/2 on day 2 in NCL
DHAKA, Oct 16, 2018 (BSS)- Ranpur Division scored 204 for 4 at stumps
against host Khulna Division on the second day of tier-1 third round match of
four-day National Cricket League (NCL) held on Tuesday at Sheikh Abu Naser
Stadium in Khulna.
Openers Jahid Jabed (64) and Mehedi Maruf (30) gave Ranpur a good start
contributing 56 runs for the opening stand before both batsmen were trapped
leg before wicket by Al Amin Hossain deliveries.
Al Amin completed his three wicket’s haul sending back to Naeem Islam for
30.
Sohrawardi Shuvo and Tanbir Hayder were on the crease with 47 and 5 runs as
the stumps were drawn for the day.
Al Amin was the pick of Khulna’s bowler as he claimed three wickets for 37
runs.
Earlier, Sajedul Islam grabbed six-wicket as Khulna Division dismissed
their first innings at 304, after they resumed the second day with overnight
score at 227 for 7.
