Without women’s participation country gets crippled: Inu
DHAKA, Oct 15, 2018(BSS)-Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said today without participation of women the economy would be crippled and the country paralyzed.
“In a democratic, digital Bangladesh women’s role has to be evaluated,” he said.
The minister was speaking at a seminar organized by Women Journalists’ Network Bangladesh and Monusher Jonno at the National Press Club here today.
The meeting was held to commemorate the “World Rural Women’s Day.”
Recollecting the unparalleled role of women in the Liberation War, he said “Women played a great role in household work, crop production, food processing and the apparel industry.”
He appealed to all to help women get educated, empowered, enriched and employed.
