RAJSHAHI, Oct 15, 2018 (BSS)- Speakers at a meeting here
today urged the valiant freedom fighters to work unitedly to
elect ‘boat’, election symbol, of Bangladesh Awami League, in
the next general election.
“There is no alternative to victory of Awami League in
the next general election,” they told a divisional level
views- sharing meeting with divisional,
district and upazila level freedom fighters at Rajshahi
Medical College auditorium in the city.

Chairman of Freedom Fighters Affairs Sub-committee Valiant
Freedom Fighter Rashidul Alam addressed the meeting as chief
guest with Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM
Khairuzzaman Liton in the chair.
Sub-committee member-secretary Farhad Hossain, member
Abdul Motaleb Pathan, Awami League executive committee member
Advocate Nurul Islam Thandu, State Minister for ICT Junaid
Ahmed Palak, Ayen Uddin, MP, Sadhan Mazumder, MP, and freedom
fighters Meer Iqbal and Dr Abdul Mannan also spoke on the
occasion.
Rashidul Alam said, “We will be able to win in the next
general election with our election symbol ‘Boat’ under the
leadership of Prime Minister and Awami League President
Sheikh Hasina. The PM’s adviser called upon the freedom
fighters to work unitedly to ensure the party’s victory in
the parliamentary election.
He said people of the country want to see continuation
of the ongoing development process to build a happy and
prosperous country. “People of the country are leading a
happy life as the present government has implemented various
programmes for building an economically advanced country,” he
added.
Mayor Liton said the farsighted leadership of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina is the reason behind attaining massive
developments in every sector of the society in last ten
years.
“The ‘magic’ of development in the hands of Sheikh
Hasina and her politics of progress have changed the life
standard of the common people through conducting massive
uplifts across the country,” he said. Liton called upon the
common people to make the symbol ‘Boat’ victorious in the
upcoming eleventh parliamentary elections in the context of
massive developments conducted by the AL-led government.
Large number of Freedom Fighters from all eight districts
under Rajshahi division attended the meeting.
