Sarada Ashram to distribute clothes among destitute on Durga puja

DHAKA, Oct 14, 2018 (BSS) – Khulna-based Sri Ma Sarada Ashram, a philanthropic organization working for women development, will distribute clothes and foods among destitute people marking the Durga Puja at Amirpur union of Paikgacha upazila in Khulna district.

Some 182 destitute women, men and children will be given clothes including saree, three-piece, lungi and panjabi while powder milk will be distributed for destitute infants on October 17 on the day of Maha Ashtami Puja, said Principal of the Ashram Brahmacharini Srabanti.

Destitute families will get rice, pulses, oil, flour and sugar on the day of Maha Nabami on October 18.

Samiron Kumar Basu, a devotee of the Ashram, said many devotees from across the country and Vivekananda Study and Philanthropic Centre, USA are providing financial assistance to run the Ashram, established at Amirpur Union in 2015.
