PM pays tribute to Sayedul Hoque

DHAKA, Dec 17, 2017 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today paid her last tribute to Fisheries and Livestock Minister Muhammed Sayedul Hoque by placing a wreath at his coffin in south plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here.

The premier paid the wreath on the coffin of the veteran leader before the first namaz-e-janaza and stood there in solemn silence for sometimes.

Deputy speaker, parliament members, leaders of different political parties, family members and relatives of late Sayedul Hoque were present.

After the Janaza, a smart contingent of Bangladesh Police gave state salute to the late Sayedul Hoque.

President Mohammad Abdul Hamid and Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury also paid their last respects to the late minister by separately placing wreaths at his coffin.

A special munazat was offered during the time seeking eternal peace of the departed soul.

Meanwhile, the body of the late minister is now being taken to his constituency in Nasirnagar where his second namaz-e-janaza is scheduled to be held at Ashutosh Pilot High School ground this afternoon.

Later, Sayedul Haque will be buried at his family graveyard at Purbobhagh village following another namaz-e-janaza after Zohr prayers today.

Fisheries and Lives Stock Minister Sayedul Hoque passed away in a city hospital yesterday at the age of 75.

Sayedul Hoque was elected Member of Parliament (MP) on Awami League’s ticket from Brahmanbaria-1 constituency five times.
