Coach Jamie happy over boys’ performance

COX’S BAZAR, Oct 10, 2018 (BSS)- Bangladesh national football team’s head
coach Jamie Day expressed his satisfaction over the boys’ performance despite
the day’s 2-0 defeat to strong Palestine in the second semifinal held on
Wednesday.

Bangladesh made exit from the tournament race but the coach is contended
for his boys fighting attitude in the day’s match against Palestine.

Speaking at a post match press conference today at Bir Shrestha Shahid
Ruhul Amin Stadium the English-born Bangladesh coach Jamie Day said:
“Definitely it’s frustrating as we have failed to reach the final as a host
country but I’m not frustrated of the boys’ performance because our opponents
are physically and tactically superior with well-shaped and 93 steps ahead
than us.”

Evaluating Bangladesh’s performance in the tournament, Jamie said his boys
played superb football against Laos and once again made him proud as they
showed good performance against Philippines in the second group match.

He admitted that his steam’s has finishing weakness as well as lack of
quality striker who can score goal such kind of big match.

On the other hand, Palestine head coach Noureddine Ould Ali said they could
not play their natural game due to wet ground and at the same time he also
praised the host defenders performance by saying that they foiled all the
planning.

He also praised the performance of defender Nabin Newas Jibon by saying “He
is a quality defender having good speed and has tested our defense
repeatedly.”
