Troublemakers to deal with iron hand: CMP
CHATTOGRAM, Oct 9, 2018 (BSS)- Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP)
Commissioner Mahbubur Rahman today warned that if any quarter tries to create
anarchy centering the verdict of August 21 grenade attack cases, police will
deal any unwanted situation with iron hand.
“We are fully prepared and the law enforcing agencies will be deployed in
different strategic points to tackle any unwanted situation if any vested
quarter tries to create anarchy,” he told reporters.
Mahbubur said there is no reason to be afraid of any unwanted situation
as the members of law enforcing agencies are on high alert.
He said additional forces will also be deployed along with regular forces
although there is no specific threat in this regard, but police have taken
all-out preparation to tackle troublemakers.
The Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 is scheduled to deliver its verdict tomorrow
in two cases 14 years after the grenade attack on an Awami League rally in
the capital.
A total of 24 people were killed and scores injured in the grenade attack.
