AL wants justice in Aug 21 grenade attack cases: Quader
DHAKA, Oct 9, 2018 (BSS) – Demanding exemplary punishment to the people
involved in the August 21 grenade attack, Awami League General Secretary
Obaidul Quader today said his party wants justice as the verdict of grenade
attack cases will be delivered tomorrow.
“We want justice in the August 21 grenade attack cases,” he said while
addressing a rally at Mirhazaribagh Chowrastha in city’s Shyampur area.
Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said the daughter of
the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Hasina,
was the prime target of the grenade attack.
“They carried out the grenade attack to kill the then opposition leader
and incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.
About the comments of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on
the August 21 grenade attack, Quader said the BNP secretary general is lying
absolutely over the barbaric grenade attack.
He said the country’s people will resist all plots of BNP-Jamaat if they
want to create any sabotage ahead of the upcoming national election.
Quader urged all to remain alert against the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat.
