People of all levels mourn at death of Mohiuddin
DHAKA, Dec 15, 2017 (BSS) – People of all levels expressed profound shock and condolence at the death of renowned politician and an organiser of the War of Liberation in Chittagong ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.
Speaker of the Parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Deputy Leader of the House Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain, Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc, Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon, Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif, State Minister for Public Administration Begum Ismat Ara Sadique issued separate condolence messages.
They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Recalling his contribution to the country and its people, they said the loss in his death is really irreparable in country’s political arena.
Mohiuddin Chowdhury, president of Chittagong city Awami League and former mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC), breathed his last at a hospital in the port city in the early hours of today.
