Bankers asked to gain skills to provide better services

RAJSHAHI, Dec 15, 2017 (BSS) – Speakers have urged newly recruited bankers to
show their professional skills in discharging their duties as it is essential
to achieve a success in banking sector aiming to ensure the country’s overall
socioeconomic development.

They came up with the call while addressing the closing and certificate-
giving session of a six-week foundation training course for 46 newly
appointed officers of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) at its training
institute here yesterday.

RAKUB Chairman Nazrul Islam and its General Manager Khandaker Golam
Mostofa, among others, spoke on the occasion with principal of the institute
Ataur Rahman in the chair.

The speakers stressed the need for ensuring client-friendly banking
activities so that they get benefits of the banking services.

Highlighting the importance of RAKUB in agricultural development of the
northwest Bangladesh, they said the bank officers should apply the knowledge
acquired from the training course in their professional field properly to
help boost agricultural production in the region.

As the largest development partner in the agricultural sector of the
northwest Bangladesh, RAKUB plays a vital role in achieving economic
emancipation of people through boosting credit-flow to the potential
agricultural fields.

In this regard, the speakers also asked the bank officials to discharge
their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty to brighten the image of the
bank.

Main objective of the training course was to improve skills and attitudes
of the officers apart from enhancing their professional competence.
